Nigerian dilemma; when is mutiny justified?

The last two days have been one of those terribly busy days for me at work, from presentations to project deadlines culminating in a serious and critically engaging meeting with three Ogas at the top that I had to defend my presentation in front of, suffice to say I reached for several cups of water before I was done. When I emerged I was not only physically fizzled out but mentally more so, all I wanted was to get home warm the 5 slices of pizza in my fridge and lose myself to the world.

My good buddy while chatting on blackberry messenger asked me casually if I had seen the news of the twelve mutiny soldiers sentenced to death and I replied in the affirmative ensuing discourse

Mama Togo's insolence

As I crawled out from underneath my blanket the inviting smell of mama Togo's food beckoning upon and titillating Inner recess of my taste buds, through force of habit I quickly felt my inner pocket and was comforted by the reassuring bulge of my previous days takings, I yawned and stretched carefully folding my sleeping cardboard and putting it away with the blanket and pillow in the small hidden niche at the base of the bridge we all kept our sleeping apparel.

30% OR Nothing

My first response to the 30percentornothing hash tag was that of casual pessimism, so mundane and pedestrian that I didn't bother to find out who or what it was all about, maybe I e-shrugged. I offered at best derision at these Political activists on twitter and their morally flawed designs at entreating some absurd Political supplications off us.

Politics of rice and sundry issues

Ollis Salus Populi Suprema  lex Esto (The welfare/good of the people is the supreme law)….CICERO

The contentious but eye opening Ekiti elections have come and gone, shocking but some will say predictable outcome of an incumbent shuffled out of government house in a land slide amidst what many acknowledge was as free and fair an election as we have ever had in these time and clime.

Re; AnabaGail Rape Is The Woman Ever To Blame.

So i scrolled through my twitter time line to behold tweets regarding the controversial Anabagail blogpost which i did not read until much later when i actually formed my opinions and i decided to do a retort. While reading the post i went through a whole raft of emotions, from thinly disguised disbelief to leg flicking irritation.

Her blog post  elicited a convoluted range of emotional rage which ended with a befuddled surprise especially after i realised this was written by a woman who should normally empathise, sympathise with and understand every strand of emotion governing a female being both internally and externally especially when emotions are concerned.

Alice Ossai; An Introspective look into Health and Safety laws in Nigeria

I first came across the news of Ms Alice Ossai the lady that was severely assaulted to the point of losing her seven month pregnancy, while news trolling like i always do a couple of days ago. While the news struck me in the starkness of its  corrosive violence and wickedness i despaired for a couple of minutes, musing about it and then shrugged on to other news.

I mention this because this attitude i exhibited of initialy shrugging it off to a large extent is symptomatic of how normalised these sort of abhorrent work place incidents have become to an average Nigerian.
